Kids Say......

My mom is always telling everyone she knows with kids that they need to write down all the cute/funny/embarssing things they say for when they are older.  With that being said, here is my first post to Kids Say...

We know kids are observant and learn by mirroring what we do and say.  I know this and with a 2 year old in the house I am extra careful in what I say and how I act.

Matt currently on a trip to last night it was just Ethan and I at the dinner table.  Noah had not waken up for his evening bottle.  We're eating and Ethan looks at me with this serious face and asks me "How your work today?"  I didn't understand him the first to so I ask him "What did you say?"  His replies "Mommy, how your work today?"  I tell him it was good and ask him "How was Micki's today?"  "Good, I play." He says and he goes back to eating.  Just from watching how Matt and I interact at dinner, Ethan knew to ask that question since daddy wasn't there.

New Year's Resolutions

It is that time of the year again! Here are my New Year's resolutions:

  1. Weekly meal planning - When Matt is working and I have to pick the boys up from the sitter we don't get home until about 6:00 pm.  Usually I start thinking about what to make for dinner about 4:30 pm, and sometimes don't think about it until we get home.  If I try meal planning then I wouldn't have to worry about what was for dinner.
  2. Blog a couple times a week - I've been horrible about scrapbooking for Ethan and Noah.  I figure if I write an entry a couple times a week than I will have a better way of keeping track of what was going on.
  3. Find time to excerise - Before I realized I was pregnant with Noah I was doing Zumba 3 times a week, and Ethan and I were walking almost everyday.  I had to stop because my heartrate was getting to high then what was safe for baby.  Now it gets dark early and it is too cold to go on walks, and I just need to adjust my schedule to make time for Zumba.
  4. Lose weight - This is a resolution every year, but this year I need to stick with it.  I only gained 15 pounds with Noah and still need to lose it.
I'm sure I'll think of more and will add those to the list as I think about them.
